Products in the Restylane<\/em> family add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). Restylane<\/em> and Restylane\u00ad-L<\/em> can also add fullness and definition to lips in patients over 21 years, providing natural-looking results with just one treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HOW DOES RESTYLANE<\/em> WORK?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Restylane<\/em> works immediately by adding volume to smooth away wrinkles. A clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, Restylane<\/em> is specifically formulated to act like your body’s own hyaluronic acid, and eventually breaks down naturally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ABOUT TREATMENT VOLUME<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Treatment volume should be limited to 6.0 mL in wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, and limited to 1.5 mL per lip (Restylane<\/em> and Restylane\u00ad-L<\/em> only), as greater amounts significantly increase moderate and severe injection site reactions. If a volume of more than 3 mL total is needed to achieve optimal correction for lip enhancement, a follow-up treatment session is recommended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Restylane-L<\/em>: Feel the difference with less discomfort*<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Like Restylane<\/em>, Restylane-L<\/em> can also be used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). But, by combining lidocaine with Restylane<\/em>, Restylane-L<\/em> can help reduce discomfort during and after treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In clinical studies evaluating the Restylane<\/em> family of products in laugh lines (nasolabial folds):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • 72% of patients reported significantly less pain during treatment with Restylane-L<\/em> vs. Restylane<\/em><\/li>
  • Patients continued to experience less discomfort for up to one hour after treatment<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Restylane-L<\/em> should not be used by anyone with a known allergy to lidocaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    After treatment, you might have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising, or tenderness. These are typically mild in severity and normally last less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and less than 14 days in lips.
